Lakemba RSL Sub-Branch Club Opens to New Members

Posted on Tuesday, 7 February 2017

Since the Lakemba RSL Sub-Branch Club was formed in 1940, it has been providing support to ex-servicemen and women of the Lakemba area, and now they are calling up for more new members to sign up.

The Sub-Branch Club is open to all former members of the Australian defence forces who have completed six months’ full time service as well as those who served within the reserve. The Club also accepts members from Allied forces into its midst.

The sub-branch meets every second month to discuss any updates or changes to government policies that affect veterans and exchange information that is useful for ex-service personnel needing help.

It currently has approximately 50 members who meet regularly for those meetings, commemorative gatherings including Anzac Day services, Anzac dinner and Remembrance Day services as well as social catch ups.

If you have served previously and would like to join the Lakemba RSL Sub-Branch Club, please contact Lakemba Reception on 9751 5888.
