The Islands welcomes you to its table, to join in the warmth and generosity of traditional and modern authentic Greek cooking. Located inside The Lakemba Club, it is a family-run restaurant that welcomes you with a smile, creating an atmosphere that is relaxed, warm and social.

Manager Theodore Loudaros and his family team, consisting of his father Anastasios and brother Alex, have crafted a stellar menu that includes a range of their favourite classic homemade Greek dishes which are meant to be mixed, matched and shared across the table just like you would do with your own family at home.
 
Hailing from the beautiful island of Syros in Greece, Anastasios opened the doors to their first family restaurant thirty years ago right on the harbour of one of the busiest ports in all of Greece – Ermoupolis. Popular with tourists and locals alike, he created a legacy that he later passed down to his children which still lives on today.
 
The Islands, built on the knowledge and skills inherited from Anastasios, uses the freshest produce sourced locally and prepared daily on the premises. Theodore and his team have chosen recipes which have been handed down from generation to generation so that you’ll always feel like you are eating at ‘yia yia’s’ (grandmother’s) house. All of the dishes are handmade with love and care so that you will feel like one of The Islands’ extended family.
 
Theodore’s highlight memory was when his family restaurant was given the opportunity to be on Greece’s famous show ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ hosted by well-known Greek Chef, Ektoras Botrini, who personally taught Theodore his secret to the perfect pizza dough. Theodore has mastered the perfect pizza that will have you licking your fingers.
 
The Islands represents a new vision for The Lakemba Club, honouring the beautiful Greek Islands and all the flavours that come with them.
